Supply Chain Consultant - FMCG - Ethiopia

Millar Cameron is the global leader in Agricultural recruitment for Emerging Markets, focusing on regions such as Africa, South America and the Middle East. Supporting some of the largest Food Production firms around the world in their operations we are always in search of new talent with specific skillsets.

At present one of our key clients are looking for a Supply Chain Consultant to develop an FMCG operation in Ethiopia, this will start as a part time role and become full time as operations are established.

The Supply Chain consultant must have knowledge of the Ethiopian Supply Chain / Logistics market and understand the distribution channels available to the FMCG Market.

The key responsibilities of the Supply Chain Consultant:
- Create an effective market and distribution map to implement a supply chain strategy for the company.
- Develop all supply chain operations, including the setup of warehouses and purchase of haulage trucks.
- Build the organisation chart for the Supply Chain division, work with the HR Manager to source the correct skills needed for the operation.
- Work on the feasibility study of the operation that can sustain the operation, analyse the operating and investment costs.

Requirements

- Must be degree educated, a degree in Logistics / Supply Chain will be looked upon favourably.
- Knowledge of the Ethiopian market is a must
- Previous experience with multinational FMCG companies in sectors such as Food, Beverages, Agriculture or Dairy.
- Fluency in English is essential, additional languages could be advantageous.
