Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Create regular forecasts of demand for components based on established sales forecasts in a multi-plant setting and provide these to key suppliers
- Plan a reliable stream of material inputs to the operation to prevent shortages that affect customer deliveries
- Establish and refine Standard Operation Procedures for the supply chain function and continuously monitor the performance of those procedures, including consideration for potential to automate or simplify the procedures
- Keep track of Bills of Material and implement changes as needed
- Provided regular feedback to key suppliers about inventory on hand (and inventory with our export & P/L customers)
- Carry out administrative activities related to inventory adjustments
- Assist warehouse and plant managers set appropriate levels through established procedures and advice
- Master the Navision system as it relates to supply chain and inventory functions
- Assist in the management of physical inventories
- Initiate continuous improvement in the processes of the supply chain that support the overall drive to lean production

Requirements

- Have 5 years of Supply Chain experience, preferably with some international experience and multi-plant experience
- Demonstrate excellence in supply chain forecasting
- Proven progressive experience managing and implementing innovative supply chain operations
- Be able to build strong relationships
- Have intermediate negotiation skills in the context of building effective and lasting partnerships
- Imagination, strategic thinking and good analytical skills
- Communicate easily with people at all levels in an organization
- Demonstrate the ability to achieve results where there is limited direct authority
- Have a proven track record for identifying and leading process improvement
- Have a working understanding of lean manufacturing methods and philosophy
- Possess intermediate skills with MS Word and strong skills in Excel
- Manufacturing background is an asset
- University or college degree is preferred (especially Business, Logistics or Operations)
