Supply Chain Director

Job description / Role

Our client a leading industrial manufacturing company here in the Middle East is looking for a Supply Chain Director to join their senior management team here in Dubai.

Reporting to the VP of business development the successful candidate should have experience managing operations across Supply Chain, Logistics and Procurement functions.

Job responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Oversee all supply chain activity, including purchasing, distribution and sourcing functions for the business
- Responsible for coaching and developing staff, managing vendor relationships and executing the company's procurement strategy.
- Oversee all activity across procurement and logistics for the business across the Middle East.
- Travel to other parts of the GCC to oversee business functions.
- Efficiently and effectively utilize the production and purchasing staff to accommodate continued growth.
- Oversee the cost-effective delivery of facility services and maintenance programs to provide a clean, organized and safe work environment.

Requirements

- Excellent negotiation skills
- Worked within a complex manufacturing or raw materials environment
- Previous middle eastern experience is essential.
- Worked within an MNC or manufacturing business
- Excellent communication skills are essential.
- Arabic preferred.
