Job description / Role
Job Title: Director Supply chain
Department: Supply Chain
Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer
Purpose of Role
Provide leadership and coordination to company’s Supply chain functions. Develop and implement Supply chain strategy. Monitor and analyze Supply chain activity against goals.
Key Responsibilities
(Description of main accountabilities or duties of the job)
1. Plan, develop and implement strategy for Supply Chain in order to meet agreed organisational performance targets within agreed budgets and timescales (covering relevant areas of operations - eg Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing if any, Warehousing, Distribution, Quality, and R& D and whatever falls within remit according to organisation's structure)
2. Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring supply chain operations performance.
3. Monitor and report on supply chain operational performance within agreed formats and timescales (issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements). Review reports and address issues as appropriate.
4. Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations and environmental policies (Local & International markets).
5. Resolve cross-departmental issues in partnership with commercial and shared service departments.
6. Develop the annual department budget and monitor the expenses in line with agreed budget.
7. Implement cost effective initiatives (operating expenditures and labor).
8. Motivate team to work together in the most efficient manner and enforce processes standards.

Requirements
Qualifications and Experience needed in order to complete the role
• Engineering or Masters in the areas Industrial, manufacturing, food technology, Logistics, Business administration
• Minimum experience 15 years in FMCG of it 10 years of experience in a leadership role for a large division or company.

1. Experience in supply chain strategic planning and execution.
2. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
3. Knowledge of structuring supply chain functions and cost expectations.
4. Knowledge of Global agro economy
5. Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to lead and facilitate high performing group meetings.
6. Has a personal commitment to organizational excellence; displays honesty, integrity, and a strong sense of ethics in all decision and actions.
7. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel.
