Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

One of the GCCs largest FMCG Manufacturing Company is looking to recruit a technically qualified and experienced Supply Chain Manager to manager all aspects of Supply Chain including distribution, warehousing and procurement to optimize inventory, costs and demand planning in order to achieve business objectives and superior customer service in accordance to company policy & procedures.

Job Overview:
- Implement purchase plans for packing & other related materials for short & long term supply using the supply demand process & observing supply constraints, to meet customer service level objectives & maintain customer satisfaction.
- Identify suppliers and distribution vendors, manage buying negotiations to ensure a cost effective logistics system.
- Set safety standards for both internal labour and outsourced labour suppliers in line with HSE to ensure compliance in order to improve quality and meet safety objectives
- Manage the company fleet & liaise with third party transportation companies to negotiate optimum rates & meet
- Manage the documentation for imports/exports, liaising with government agencies/interdepartmental & in order to deliver the goods on time against receipt of a full set of clean documents.
- Collaborate with sales and demand planning functions to optimize procurement, manufacturing, inventories and distribution.
- Suggest training needs to develop & motivate departmental staff & monitor, through performance appraisal, to ensure performance improvement & increase efficiency meeting set of objectives
- Prepare, present & justify annual budgets for supply chain in order to measure cost effectiveness of the department & submit to the management for review and approval.

Requirements

- Must have University Degree in Engineering / Food Science, MBA is advantageous.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Supply Chain, with working experience in warehouse management, logistics and inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing background.
- Previous experience of managing large diverse workforce.
- Knowledge of Demand Planning software, Oracle is preferred
- Experienced with other software packages including Windows, and Microsoft Office
- This position requires strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills
- Superior level communication and interpersonal skills
- Preference will be given to Arab or European candidates
