Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Review and develop the Procurement Strategy across the organization to deliver the target benefits and financial savings.
- Employs effective sourcing techniques in identifying reliable sources for existing or new projects.
- Engages in establishing and maintaining strategic business relationship with suppliers.
- Prepares bidder lists and releases request for quotations.
- Ensures proper time management and prioritization of tasks.
- Follows procurement policies and procedures.
- Set up a process of review for all Contracts, Supplies and Suppliers ensuring that maximum value for money benefits are achieved through supplier rationalization, developing an Approved Supplier list
- Set up and maintain a control framework to ensure that all procurement activities are effectively managed.
- Effective Negotiation with vendors on product quality, costing and contractual terms & conditions.
- Comparative analysis on the quotes to be prepared on all local purchases.
- Identify new suppliers, agree terms and negotiate supply agreements where appropriate, including discount structures and volume rebates.
- Continually improve purchasing methods and drive down external spend.
- Encourage effective contract management across the businesses with regular reviews and development of Key Performance Measures.
- Build and develop good relationships with key suppliers to ensure best value for money and customer satisfaction with services provided.
- Monitor trends in supplier and contract base and propose/implement plans to respond to such trends.
- Establish a central procurement plan covering a rolling 1/2 year period to ensure that all activities can be forward planned and that adequate resources exist.
- Set procurement savings targets each year in conjunction with the Line Manager and monitor delivery against targets.
- Should have regular visits to the project sites and take full ownership of the procurement activity in the project.
- Identify and develop procurement training for non-procurement staff.
- Foster close working relationships with associated departments.

Requirements

- University Qualifications: BSc Engineering / MBA
- Nature and length of previous experience: 5-10 Years of Experience as SCM / Procurement Manager in Construction industry (Civil, MEP)
- Exposure to Oil & Gas Field with hands on experience in Shutdown Activities.
- Strong relation within the Local Market.
- Soft Skills and Personality traits: Excellent Communication, Interpersonal, and Negotiation Skills.
- Age Range: 30-40
- Gender Preference: Male
- Current Location: UAE
