The RoleThe RoleOman Oil Company Exploration & Production LLC (OOCEP) is an upstream Oil & Gas company based in the Sultanate of Oman. OOCEP has numerous assets and diversified interests in Oil & Gas exploration and production both inside and outside Oman. Overview Oman Oil Company Exploration & Production LLC (OOCEP) is currently seeking to appoint a Supply Chain Manager for our growing organization. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer the role will be based in Muscat - Sultanate of Oman. Responsibilities • Create strong relationships with SCM peers in Client organizations, supporting the company profile and identifying their Procurement/SCM strategies with EPC Contractors and the overall supply market and share this ensures cross Project knowledge and sharing of lessons learnt and build a SCM leadership team of key people in the function • Building relationships with Key Subcontractors and Suppliers who can affect our execution of Projects • Effective management and execution of the SCM activities in support of Projects (both Tendering and Execution) • Assists Project SCM Managers in the development of the appropriate strategies to benefit the Projects and provide technical oversight • Ensuring competent and capable people are furnished to our Projects and they are focused on cost, risk, innovation, being commercially astute and performance driven • Collaboration with Project Management & Engineering to develop best practices in processes and tactics for effective SCM Project Execution • Assist in the development and ensure compliance of company's SCM policies processes/procedures, use of the approved suite of systems and tools to aid efficiency and effectiveness in execution of Projects • Accountable for the success of the SCM activities and deliverables in accordance with agreed Project schedules, milestones and cost • Ensuring the growth of SCM resources competence and personal development by provision of appropriate functional training and development programs • Manage mentor, & develop Contracts & Procurement & Inventory / Logistics staff effectively.Responsibilities • Overall management and supervision of the Procurement and Contracts Department • Ensure that the required training is recommended and implemented for national employees promoting upward mobility and growth opportunities within OOCEP. • Ensuring the goals and objectives for all employees are clearly established, defined and measured. |
RequirementsRequirements• International experience in procurement and contracts is essential • An Engineering or Administration Degree is required • A minimum of 20 years working within the oil and gas industry with 10 of those years having direct experience writing contracts, conducting formal bid process, and leading cost effective, strategic procurement processes. • Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language • Strong leadership ability with a proven management track record in supervising all procurement, contracts and logistics as required supporting company operations. |
