Reporting Relationships: Production Planning Manager
Location: AFM Head Office - Dubai Festival City, Dubai
Department: Production Planning Department

Role Purpose:

Analyzes, forecasts and determines the right supply volume, at the right time to support the division's annual objectives

Key Responsibilities:

Support:

* Nenkei: Support the Nenkei plan with the annual, 6-month, and monthly order plans. Ensures ideal MOS (Months of Stock) for each model.
* Analysis: Provides an analysis of vehicle supply requirements using the Rundown tool, and incorporating various factors such as the sales plan, run rate, supplier restrictions, and campaign activities. Following this analysis, forecasts the ideal volume order by model.
* Presentation: Prepare a presentation showing the order recommendation and rationale behind this and presents them during the monthly Sales, Stock, and Order Planning (SSOP) meeting. Records the minutes
* Supply Planning: Ensures integration of sales plans, product plans, marketing and campaign activities, and order guidelines into the order plan.
* Risk Management: Analyze each model's supply flow and regularly anticipates opportunities and risks. Recommend proposals that either takes advantage of opportunities or mitigates effects of risks. Ensures proper advisory to all concerned.
* Negotiation: Holds regular discussions with TMC to negotiate for ideal allocation depending observing Heijunka (levelling). Must be able to consider short, medium and long term implications of each agreement. Must be able to balance conflicting priorities between principals and internals.
* Best Practices: Can easily adapt working styles and processes to conform to the Toyota Way. Actively participates in the company's Drive Magic Moments initiative, and conducts regular Impact Planning sessions.

Communication:

* Principals: Holds regular communication with principals to discuss allocation matters, production restrictions, Getsudo, and other TMC matters.
* Sales Channels: Holds regular communication with various AFM Channels to understand their requirements, limitations, as well as provide feedback on their supply situation. Ensures synchronization of plans with Sales Planning Dept.
* Internal Departments: Holds regular communications with other Departments within AFM to understand sales forecasting, campaign plans, marketing activities, product changes, logistics requirements, and other matters where supply is a factor.
* Internal Management:  Can preside over the Sales Stock and Order Planning (SSOP) meeting, and hold a presentation to an audience made up of key management with authority.
* Production Planning: Must be able to communicate and coordinate effectively with the rest of the team in order to attain a common objective.

Innovation:

* Advanced proficiency in Excel.
* Continuously evaluates the Rundown to make this adaptive to market and customer requirements. Working experience using macros a key advantage.
* Working proficiencies in other MS Office applications a must.
* Familiarity with MS Visio is another advantage.
* Kaizen inspired thinking, and always looking to first standardize operations, and regularly propose solutions to making work and processes more simple and efficient. Identifying industry best practices, and incorporating those that are applicable.
* KPI driven: Develop new KPIs and update current.

Requirements

Knowledge:

* Customer (Guest): Customer First mindset. Feedback oriented
* Administration and Management: Attention to detail / Own initiative and accountability / Team player / Experience in an automobile distributor environment an advantage
* Sales and Marketing: Familiar with Supply and Demand and Supply Chain concepts / Toyota Way - an advantage.
* Financial and Accounting: Basic understanding of Finance / Forecasting capabilities

English Language: Effective communication skills with very high reading, speaking and writing acuity

Education:
Min - Bachelor's Degree holder

Experience:
Preferably 3 years of relevant Supply Chain experience
