Supply Planning Manager – Automotive

Job description / Role

A highly accomplished Supply Planning Manager from within the automotive industry is required to:

• Manage the supply planning of associated products in MENA region
• Manage the full ordering process
• Manage the engine/trim mix to achieve “Budget” levels of revenue

This position will report to the Sales Planning & Process Manager.

The Responsibilities

• Regional allocation planning and aligning allocation plans with forecast
• Importer allocation planning / Develop and deploy process improvements
• VDM gateway management , setting order call targets to individual importers
• Manage allocation to budget “derivative / trim mix” requirements
• Managing the full ordering process / Develop and deploy process improvements
• Implement forward sold ordering in the ordering platform Vista
• Management of recognized order banks on supply constrained car-lines
• Managing the correlation between retail forecast, pipeline and order banks
• Develop Constrained Retail and Wholesale forecast in conjunction with Demand Planner
• Key point of contact for GSO Supply Planning, MP&L and Distribution/Logistics departments
• Tracking and reporting of the aged stock in importers
• Evaluating importer ordering performance issues, and work on a resolution with the regional managers
• Daily communication with the sales operations teams in importers?
• Train and coach importer sales operations teams for the planning and ordering related systems
• Attending initiative Reviews and Plans with management, and give quality feedback
• Cover Demand Planning responsibility when there is absence

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferably in Business Administration, Engineering and related field
• Demand and/or Supply Planning experience in the automotive or relative sector
• Advanced Microsoft Office user, experience with Business Intelligence and Analysis tools such as QlikView, Tableau is an advantage
• Data Visualization and Data Analytics knowledge
