Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

1. Supervises staff in the Northern Emirates Logistics Depot Control Room and prepares duty roster of control room supervisors and operators. Ensures staff has appropriate training and administrative support to undertake the control room operation efficiently.
2. Coordinates with marine coordinator regarding product receipts and instructs control room supervisors in making arrangements for receipt of product such as tank gauging, joint dipping products, lab sampling tests.
3. Supervises the safe, secure and 24 hour operation of the product loading and unloading at the depot including exercising quality control of the products stored to prevent contamination of product during receipt, storage and loading.
4. Liaises with depot maintenance staff in keeping meters properly calibrated, product pumps, valves, pressure relief valves and associated paraphernalia properly maintained in accordance with the Preventative Maintenance Program and on a required basis.
5. Supervises the product receipt process at the depot through the jetty pipeline from marine vessels and maintains coordination with marine staff during product download from marine vessels.
6. Monitors staff performance, guides or trains them accordingly and maintains appropriate personnel records. Controls and analyses personnel overtime.
7. Controls product losses/gains within approved limits and compiles monthly stock and product movement statements for all storage facilities and products at the depots.
8. Ensures sufficient quantities of dye material are available to be added into gasoline during the pumping process and ensures that the correct ratios are blended for each delivery.
9. Conducts periodic site inspections, observes staff, prepares intermittent reports relating to observance of fire and safety rules and regulations and staff adherence to same and training requirements in these areas.
10. Performs other similar or related duties as and when assigned by Northern Emirates Region Logistics Department Manager

Requirements

1. Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
2. 5-7 years experience in a Petroleum Product Refinery/Depot operation.
3. Computer literate
4. Good knowledge of Arabic and English languages (spoken & written).
5. Valid UAE Driving License
