Surveying Manager

Job description / Role

Faithful+Gould, is an international Project Management and Cost Consultancy services provider which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the well-renowned larger group, WS Atkins & Partners Overseas Company. We are active in the Middle East and India for over 10 years with our regional headquarter in Dubai, and offices in Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia. Our Middle East and India presence is complemented by our operations across Asia Pacific, Europe and the USA, and our 2,000 plus global staff.

We are currently looking for a Surveying Manager to join our team in Doha, Qatar working on projects in the region.

Role and Responsibilities:

Qualified with a Bachelor of Science degree in Quantity Surveying or similar from an accredited internationally recognized institution or university.
Minimum 5-10 years relevant experience in infrastructure.
Experience of preparing concept estimates from first principle day.
Computer literacy and excellent communication skills are essential.
Develop in house Cost management capability, manage the site commercial team.

Requirements

Requirements:

A Chartered Quantity Surveyor with a recognised international body and Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) preferred.
Minimum of 15-20 years experience post degree.
Excellent estimating and cost management experience.
Claims experience.
Change management.
Risk and Value management experience.
Be able to provide both summarised and detailed reports, on current activities and ability to present directly to the client.
Excellent communication skills.
Desirable:
Experience of working within multicultural teams.
IT Literacy with Microsoft Office suite of tools.
Your first language to be English.
Use of estimating software.
Use of Autocad.
