Surveyor (Marine/Construction)

Job description / Role

We are looking for Surveyor (Marine/ Construction) to work for a western main contractor on Marine construction project in Qatar

Project:
Large scale coastal resort/ hotel.
It will cover a full 257 acres of land and coastline in the southwest corner of the country, and will have a waterpark, a luxury marina and yacht club, a dive centre, cinemas, premier retail shopping and numerous restaurants.

We are looking for a candidate specialized in land and marine works surveys
- To conduct full site survey, recording; characteristic of terrain, contour lines, coordinates, property lines, boundaries, levels, benchmarks, control points, and land features.
- Verify site survey findings against information given by consultant, client, and other authorities concerned with the project.
- Keeps accurate/readable/retrievable notes, records, and sketches to describe and certify work performed, and to make sure the same is protected and backed up.
- To maintain the surveying instrument in order to assure their accuracy & report any defects.

Requirements

- Must have at least 5 years marine experience
- Must have a degree in Civil Engineering or Surveying
- Must have experience with backpack GPS and DGPS, cartography
- Must speak Fluent English
- Must have international experience
- Have a knowledge in different survey instrument
- Good mathematical skills and communication skills
- If possible must have some IT knowledge as well in regards to building small computer networks.
