The RoleThe Role• Master Developer of innovative, sustainable projects • Location: Doha Qatar • Excellent Salary Package and Benefits (Tax Free) Our client is a Master Developer of innovative, sustainable projects that balance heritage and modernization but observe tradition. Launched in 2009, they are renowned for combining development projects that combine modernization but proudly observes traditional architecture. The firm’s mandate is to study the built environment of the past in the context of modern, innovative technologies and effectively blend it to create a new architectural language. Our client now seeks to appoint a Sustainability Manager to develop and manage full spectrum of sustainability framework from all aspects enabling sustainable business transformation. Interface with all directorates and align whole organization on subject of sustainability. Reporting to the Development Director, your responsibilities include: - Participate in the formulation of the strategic planning by ensuring that full spectrum of sustainability from different aspects contribute towards the achievement of the mission - Liaise with local, regional and international sustainability leaders and NGOs to ensure cooperation and best-practices. - Jointly develop the project sustainability strategy (LEED, public realm, building efficiency and organic gardens) - Create and implement strategies that ensure set percentages of LEED are met. - Create targets, ongoing progress dashboards and metrics for success. Drive ongoing continuous improvement in results. - Coordinate with related government and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) to develop critical mass for sustainability programs. - Review technical and economical feasibility studies of used systems to comply with the sustainability vision. Please clarify - Evaluate the economic, technical and environmental merits of new sustainability technologies and implement new practices appropriately. - Develop across company/project sustainability guidelines (including Green office policies, “Green Team” leaders, tenant sustainability, public, etc) - Set annual goals for attaining a certain percentage of LEED Ensure that all DL/TQ leadership and managers become LEED Accredited or LEED Green Associates. - Create programs beyond tenant guidelines that promote best green practices within the MHOD user categories. - Promote urban sustainability. In conjunction Marketing, build company brand and image. Host periodic forums or symposiums that display DL leadership in Sustainability. - Establish alternate guidelines that are sustainable but not necessarily LEED CI for tenants who want to do something but don't want to pay for the full CI compliance - Investigate bio fuel station or solar photovoltaic charging stations for plug-in hybrid vehicles on site in lieu of petrol station. |
RequirementsRequirementsMinimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree preferably Masters in Environmental Sciences or Sustainability Minimum Experience: - 7-10 years experience related to environment, renewable energy and sustainability, preferably in urban development projects Job-Specific Skills: - Business Transformation - Product / Service Innovation - Engineering/Technical Management - General Management, - Communication, Training and Negotiation - Corporate Social Responsibility - Energy and Climate Management - Operations and Maintenance.
