Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Assesses and monitor the Main Contractors Sustainability performance in Construction and Design by keeping track of and reporting on planning, documentation and implementation of:

All Design Credits for LEED NC and GSAS Railways, including risk level monitoring and credit / project scores;

All LEED Construction Credits such as: Recycled and Regional material content, VOC content, Indoor Air Quality Plan, Erosion Control Plan, and Construction Waste Management and implementation of GSAS Construction activities and Plans;

Provide advice, technical input, use of toolkits and guidelines to the project team and provide quality control on Contractors GSAS / LEED certification programme

Oversee the dissemination of GSAS / LEED requirements to Contractors team

Record / report site situations and present as Contractor performance in well written reports.

Highlight issues throughout the design and construction processes in order to meet compliance with GSAS / LEED certification and implementation of Sustainability Management Plan.

Assist with review of GSAS / LEED submittals.

Review relevant E&S statistical data and information, collate and do trend analysis and use in reports to improve performance.

Work to agreed individual and team targets and manage own time to ensure deadlines are met.

Technical Experience / knowledge

Be experienced in environmental management / auditing of construction sites and the use of a broad range of environmental monitoring equipment.

Able to provide key technical input into issues as they arise in the areas stated above.

Provide input to wider sustainability studies as required, such as calculation of carbon emissions, and familiarity with wider sustainability assessment tools such as CEEQUAL.

Demonstrate an ability to develop a sound commercial knowledge and be able to able to apply appropriate and cost-effective working practices.

Requirements

A relevant degree qualification in either Building Engineering or a sustainability-related subject (Civil, Architecture, Mechanical, Urban Planning etc) with Accredited / Certified status

Three to five years experience in green building assessment systems

Good presentation and interpersonal skills with a strong client focus

Middle East experience is preferred
