Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Contribute to establishment of plans for sustainability management and help to oversee implementation and compliance by the PWA.
- Work collaboratively with consultants and contractors to ensure portfolio delivery within Sustainability objectives. In particular, ensure that PWA required sustainability reviews, check points and approvals are scheduled and actioned.
- Assessment of Sustainability risk across the portfolio, and preparation of regular reports and briefing papers on the status of the risk, mitigation actions and risk reduction initiatives.
- Upkeep of the master audit schedule, audit of DC &SC milestone deliveries and audit implementation and management of follow-up for corrective and preventative actions.
- Measurement of PWA, consultants and contractors performance on sustainability aspects and incorporation into a feedback process to ensure their continuous improvement.
- Oversee and coordinate the GSAS submittals for PWA projects including checking (or, if necessary, completing and uploading) the GSAS calculators and deliverables .
- Be involved in providing assurance that the PWA Building Affairs delivery teams are operating in accordance with programme-wide sustainability targets and objectives.
- Coordination of interfaces with internal and external stakeholders to ensure necessary support to enable delivery of the projects, with particular reference to the GSAS Authority (GORD). Determine the agenda for (and minute) the regular GORD / Ashghal meetings.
- Monitor progress of implementation of the PWAs sustainability management and administration processes.

Requirements

- Bachelors Degree from a recognised university in a related discipline.
- Drivers Licence
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- A minimum of 8 years experience in sustainability, with at least 3 years on the design, construction or assessment of major new building programmes.

Desirable requirement:
- Chartered status from a recognised institution.
- Experience of working in Qatar or the Gulf region.
