At IKEA creating a better everyday life for the many isn't only our vision, it's our way of life! We are seeking to hire a IKEA Swedish Food Market Assistants for our IKEA store in Dubai. IKEA Food Services support home furnishings sales and the Swedish profile of the IKEA store, strengthen our low price profile, attract visitors and ensuring that our co-workers get good meals at low prices. Within these important tasks, the Swedish Foodmarket Co-worker has the goal of increasing sales through effective selling and merchandising in the Swedish Foodmarket and by providing fast, friendly and efficient service in the Bistro. Key Responsibilities: * Preparing food and beverages and serve customers in the food line * Ensuring excellent customer service through the use of efficient service and cashiering methods * Ensuring that food merchandise is presented according to IKEA standards and is properly labelled and priced * Performing cashier opening and closing procedures * Providing a positive shopping experience through a high level of customer service standards and cleanliness within the area * Adhering to inventory control procedures * Using available resources to educate yourself on Food Service products, services and sales techniques * Contributing to an environment where the IKEA culture is a strong and living reality which embraces the diversity of our co-workers and customers |
RequirementsRequirementsTo be seriously considered for this role you must have: * Previous experience in F&B/ FMCG industries * Strong interest to work for a home furnishings company * Will and ability for further development within IKEA * Proactive and courteous customer approach * Good communication skills and interpersonal skills * Computer knowledge * Ability to lift 25kg * Desire to work in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment |
