The Role


The Role

Our client, one of the fastest growing providers of public safety and security solutions globally, is looking to expand their team of professionals within the Middle East region. With long term prospects providing stability and career development, our employer is seeking to appoint a professional and experienced System Admin / Technical Support member to their team to support the growth and development of their projects in the UAE.
Reporting to the Senior Network Engineer, your responsibilities in this role will include,
• Provide level 1 and level 2 technical support to users
• Respond to customer calls and requests promptly
• Resolve computer issues using different mediums
• Configure equipment to connect to corporate network and domains
• Maintain machine configurations
• Configure software to connect to Internet application servers
• Follow and enforce IT, Security and acceptable use parties
• Provide training to clients in the use of the system and applications when required
• Create new accounts
• Log all support activities in Service Desk software
• Escalate issues to network administrators when unable to provide resolution
• Participate in IT projects for network changes and introduction of new services as required

Requirements


Requirements

Essential attributes include:
• Diploma / Degree qualified in Computer related field with Client system Microsoft certification
• Minimum of three years experience in a similar role
• Experienced in the use of Windows 7; Microsoft Office 2007 / 2010; Dell hardware (laptops and desktop); Windows Server 2008; DNS / DHCP; Blackberry / BES; Network printing; Active Directory
• Knowledge of OCS / Lync 2007/2010; Microsoft Live Meeting; Microsoft Exchange Server
• Experienced in performing diagnosis and / or implementation of product releases or changes
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent English speaking, reading and writing skills are essential

Please Note: role will require work outside of normal hours on occasion
