System Administrator

Job description / Role

- Installing, supporting and maintaining servers hardware and software.
- Managing email, anti-spam and virus protection.
- Analyze system logs, and take the necessary action.
- Setting up user accounts, permissions and passwords.
- Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
- Monitoring network usage and perform backups.
- Ensuring the most cost-effective and efficient use of the IT systems.
- Suggesting and providing IT solutions to business.
- Analyzing and resolving faults, ranging from a major system crash to a forgotten password.
- Document the configuration of the system.
- Fine-tune system performance.
- Undertaking routine preventative measures and implementing, maintaining and monitoring network security.
- Ensure network infrastructure is up and running
- Providing training and technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence.
- Introduce and integrate new technologies.
- Working closely with other departments/organizations and collaborating with other IT staff.
- Planning and implementing future IT developments and undertaking project work.

Requirements

- Bachelors Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science
- 2-5 Years as IT System Administrator
- Good knowledge in MS windows Server environment.
- Good knowledge in MS Exchange.
- Good knowledge in TMG & ISA Servers.
- Good knowledge in MS SharePoint & Workflows.
- Good knowledge in Cisco Routers and switches.
- Good knowledge in the Wireless connections.
- Good knowledge in IP Telephony.
- Good knowledge in the ERP systems.
- Good knowledge in the security and firewalls.
- Good knowledge in WAN & LAN.
- Good knowledge in Virtualization, clouding, and Imaging technologies.
- Good knowledge in the helpdesk solutions.
- Proven ability to assess problems and research solutions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong awareness of system vulnerability.
- Projects & Service oriented.
