System Analyst / Designer

Job description / Role

Design and implement information systems and network software architectures that support core organizational functions.

Responsible for developing high-level system and component designs and ensuring that the proposed solution meets all client requirements. Responsible for developing technical responses for tenders and proposals including initial planed effort estimation.

Requirements

Software Development Methodologies:

1. Participate in selecting and customizing the design methodology to ensure applicability with individual project requirements.

System Design:

1. Meet clients to understand the software requirements of the project.

2. Document component specifications (base line design document) of system architecture and design to ensure they can be used by the Software Developer.

3. Resolve any defects in the HLD & DLD.

4. Determine tools and external libraries to be used in the development of the project in line with existing resources and constraints.

5. Ensure compliance of the projects with the designed framework and selected methodology.

Unit & Integration Testing:

1. Create and operate unit and integration test cases and resolve any comments resulting from their review.

2. Prepare SRS (Software requirement specifications) and get customers’ approval on it.

3. Perform any other related job duties as requested by the direct supervisor.
