Job description / Role
- Ensures daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly system operational activities complete successfully and within agreed upon service level agreements
- Builds standards, processes and procedures, and guidelines for business liaisons, fellow Application Support Analyst, and Help Desk
- Builds and leverages automation to decrease overall system downtime and improve systems operations
- Participates in system and user acceptance testing efforts
- Partners with business liaisons and technical teams to understand and define system goals and technical system requirements
- Partners with designers to build system functionality and improve quality attributes
- Assists technical groups in revising logic for performance efficiency
- Builds and leverages automation to decrease overall system deployment and support cycle time
- Understands system interdependencies and collaborates with project teams accordingly
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, or related field required with at least 1-3 years of experience working in an IT analyst or application support role.
- Strong communication skills, especially the ability to listen actively
- Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in application systems
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements
- Ability to partner with software engineers and quality analysts to identify course of resolutions
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent project management and prioritization skills
