Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• To work with a team of Consultants and other SDAs to provide high level and detailed design services on integrating security technologies into the built environment
• To provide subject matter expertise to a key area of our integrated security offering to our clients
• To provide technical pre-sales support to the Sales and Marketing team in understanding the client requirements and articulating security architectures with the appropriate technology to meet the client’s needs.
• To provide specific technical input with respect to estimating risk and price of integrating Security Technology into the structural elements of the built environment
• To support the operational and engineering teams to ensure designs are executed according to approved engineering principles and that governance is maintained throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• To develop high level and detailed security designs (CCTV, Communication, AACS, Scanning, Surveillance systems, Civils) and specifications to relevant standards, statutes and codes, industry best practice and to the Group Quality Assurance Systems
• To provide depth of expertise in specific areas of security provisions and be able to understand and mitigate the risks of integrating the various technologies into our systems offerings
• To define the boundaries, interfaces, integration and interoperability requirements between the civil engineering and building structures and the sophisticated security technologies.
• Work in conjunction with various internal stakeholders such as Sales & Marketing, Consultancy and the bid team to ensure the overall security solution that is proposed meets the requirements of the client in the most cost effective manner.
• To carry out security and technical audits and site surveys of premises and systems to identify and quantify shortcomings and that these are covered in the final security solution
• To develop, maintain and disseminate knowledge of existing, new and proposed products and services available within the Security market place
• To develop excellent professional relationships with all clients and potential clients by demonstrating an understanding of their business and their technology requirements therefore achieving reliable, timely and high-quality delivery
• To qualify opportunities and make technical recommendations as to the practicality of any bids or opportunities
• To ensure that all solutions and proposals are technically and commercially viable so that the customer receives the optimum service/solution that meets their needs – leading to healthy client relationships
• Technical representation at meetings and consultations with client representatives, government agencies and industry associates connected to current or potential future programmes
• To own client issues and co-ordinate resources as appropriate to secure a satisfactory resolution
• To maintain accurate project records, satisfying all Company systems, controls and procedural requirements
• To be able to deal with multiple requests for work and be able to efficiently manage and achieve these demands
• To be able to develop and coach younger members of the technical organization and impart security knowledge to elevate the overall capability of the business

Requirements

• 10 years plus experience in the design, procurement and application of security solutions / techniques in a commercial and law enforcement environment
• At least 5 years of experience in the design and implementation of integrated security solutions into elements of the built environment such as command and control centers, perimeter protection structures, MEP provision, outside plant works and telecommunications infrastructures.
• Ability to demonstrate experience on projects with values greater than $2 million. However experience on projects valued over $20 million will be looked upon favourably
• A thorough understanding of the MENA EPC process including the design and engineering requirements from a security perspective
• Ability to quickly develop professional and trusted relationships with clients from a variety of cultures
• Ability to think and work at a relatively strategic level towards medium and long term goals
• Commercial awareness of target sectors and the ability to apply that knowledge to identify market opportunities
• Willingness and ability to work flexibly and diligently as befits a senior role within a fast growing organization
• Good working knowledge of (and interest in) all areas of Security Design and Requirements
• High level of self motivation and an ability to work with a high level of initiative and limited supervision, in high pressure situations
• Strong team player who can communicate, motivate and interact effectively with technical, commercial and support team-members
• Negotiation skills and the ability to articulate vision and capability to board level in organisations
• Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally on a regular and prolonged basis
