The RoleThe RoleOne of my clients in Qatar is looking for a System Engineer from an Operations Monitoring background. Job Summary The Operations Monitoring role is key to assure adequate services delivery standard of the technical operations teams for mission critical healthcare organization by monitoring the technical operations elements for performance improvement. Job Responsibilities Participate in the implementation and configuration of the service management system. Ensure that the service management system is updated after the addition of new platforms and/or services Participate in service level agreement discussions and definitions. Coordinate with Technical and Operational staff to ensure that service/support capabilities are conformal with operational needs. Monitor service level agreements and services delivery. Responsible for auditing/monitor technical operation processes and staff actions to ensure desired standards and established practices and policies are being used. Coordinates activities to ensure new solutions are ready for operations. Responsible for reviewing problem trends and proactively taking actions to identify problems and remove errors. Responsible for maintaining satisfactory service levels. Provide a weekly report to Operational and Technical staff on the service availability and issues. Responsible for day to day use of the service management system. Responsible for implementation of new customers and capabilities. Define, create and implement new reporting metrics Recommends, enforces, and documents technical service level standards. Monitors service level agreements and overall quality of deliverables and services Assigns and maintains inventory of IP addresses Documents and communicates all changes and installations to change management and Help Desk Participates in and helps maintain business continuity and disaster recovery departmental plans. |
RequirementsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems COBIT, ITSM Certification Strong Background in the following areas: SOA, IAAS,Service management, Service Delivery, Monitoring and performance improvement. Networking concepts (TCP/IP, Routing, Firewalls, Network Security) Emphasis on sharing of knowledge through good communications and written documentation Strong inter-personal skills, Positive customer service attitude, Focused on quality, Organized, Committed to continual improvement |
