Job description / Role
Leading Western automation specialist is looking to hire a System Support Engineer to join their team in Kuwait.
Salary: up to 500KD
Your duties will mainly consist of:
- Implement and execute new SCADA installations for testing in-house.
- Convey all testing issues and bugs to bug monitoring system and to Sr. System Engineer.
- Testing and checking test cases of vMonitor SCADA Applications.
- Finding software bugs and reporting them in a bug reporting system.
- Coordinate with vMonitor field crews and support them with all necessary information and actions.
- Configure and troubleshoot OLE for Process Control (OPC) protocol connectivity for testing.
- Testing all new features in SCADA System.
- Preparing features user guide in detailed steps.
- Maintain MS SQL Server databases, tables, queries and views.
- Maintain Oracle databases, tables, queries and views.
- Basic knowledge about programming.
- Ability to manage and monitor 800+ well on SCADA software.
- Good knowledge about networking.
- Making trips to the filed upon customers requests.
- Be on call for 24/7 to support clients depending on contracts requirements.
- Designing HMIs, Alarms, and reports and linking them to the user interface.
- To carry out such other task as may be assigned by the management from time to time.
Requirements
The ideal candidate shall have a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, with a minimum of 2 Years Experience in Oil and Gas information Technology.
Futhermore, the candidate needs to know about MS SQL Server, Oracle, OPC Protocol, SCADA Knowledge, MS Office.
