The RoleThe RoleRole Overview: Is a senior member of the respective functional IT area (Helpdesk, Operations, Networks). Assists the functional IT Manager with all aspects of the area of responsibility including technical and administrational tasks. Main Duties: All duties and responsibilities relate to the specific functional area (Helpdesk Operations or Networks) that the Systems Administrator is assigned to. Communicate status, risks and opportunities to the IT Manager and Cluster Director of IT. Supervision of all activities within the functional area Provide second level support. Assist IT Manager to setup and monitor SLAs Capacity planning and reporting Ensure systems and procedures adhere to the company's IT Security Policy Ensure Access Control is in line the company's IT Security Policy Assist the functional IT Manager to manage the local process for event management, enhancements and application fixes. Assist the functional IT Manager with performance management and development of IT Specialists. Assist with managing local implementation projects & testing of applications and hardware upgrades. Communicate new or amended procedures to relevant departments/ colleagues in a timely manner, ensuring they have been understood. |
RequirementsRequirements Bachelors Degree or Higher Diploma in IT/Computer Science or equivalent Strong Technical IT Skills MCSE and/ or CCNA qualification Experience in a supervisory level or above in an IT/Helpdesk environment is a must ITIL certification or at a minimum previous experience in an environment that follows the ITIL framework. Willingness to work to a 24 hour 7 day roster |
