Systems Engineer – PNT

Job description / Role

JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Plan and implement all pipeline integrity activities including, but not limited to, integrity planning, repair, FFS assessment and integrity status reports to ensure that the company’s Pipeline Integrity Strategy is current and properly implemented.
Advise on the integrity status of the pipelines using the PIMS system to enhance pipeline performance.

1. Pipeline Integrity Status and Plans

• Conduct continual inspection for PIMS to assess its integrity status including, but not limited to the following activities:
- Assess & validate all inspection data & ensure its uploading into PIMS
- Study the existing in-line inspection and other inspection survey reports of pipelines and prepare Look Ahead maintenance & inspection plan
- Manage the in-line inspection cost, time & resources effectively, and provide feedback in inline inspection budgeting
- Advise asset owners on lines integrity status
- Release Integrity certification Fitness For Purpose (FFP) and remaining life assessment issue- related recommendations and future action plan/next inspection date - Develop Risk Based Assessment (RBA) scope of work.
- Identify and develop pipeline long term replacement plan
- Issue Integrity status report of all the critical pipelines
- Guide in preparation & execution of remedial action plan based on integrity status report.

2. Operational Support of PIMS

• Provide operational support to validate relevant data on PIMS including, but not limited to the following activities :
- Load and validate Cathodic Protection (CP), In-line Inspection & Corrosion data into PIMS and make recommendations for repair
- Carryout detailed analysis using different algorithms provided in PIMS.
- Develop integrity plans using PIMS software after detailed Risk Ranking and FFS calculations.

Requirements

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent

• 6 or more years of relevant experience in a similar PIMS systems engineering role.

• Should have at least 4 year of experience in analyzing & evaluating inspection data & generating integrity status reports on pipelines, within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry
