Job description / Role
- Assists in planning, implementing, maintaining and tuning systems software for the efficient operation of data center Servers, UNIX Systems and NT LAN Servers.
- Detects errors and ensures prompt resolution of system breakdowns to minimize operational impacts.Prepares servers for testing or production.
- Maintains System Utilization including its quality, security and reliability.
- Monitors system performance, identifies and rectifies complex system malfunctions.Monitors server room status and performance.
- Prepares and implements Systems and Application releases as per IT Division standards.
- Implements and automates the repetitive system activities and other operational procedures.
- Assists in diagnosing, detecting and rectifying system connectivity bottlenecks across various servers.
- Maintains proper documentation for all the systems related activities, architecture, structures, procedures and changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor in Computer Science or Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
- 5 years experience in data processing of which at least 4 years in systems programming function in the relevant Operating Systems and Network Computing environments. Various UNIX platforms, Microsoft Windows, Client/Server technology and TCP/IP network protocol.
- MCSE Certified.
