ixtel is a provider of managed services in UAE, specialising in the enterprise businesses. We have a friendly customer focused team based in Dubai, UAE. We are growing and need a highly motivated and energetic systems engineer to help us integrate new customers and continue supporting existing customers.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Engineer with excellent communication skills. Responsibilities:
- Administration of issue tracking servers, automation build servers, and other relevant software development applications, servers, and hardware
- Administration of management software and servers
- Evaluating and implementing hardware and software technologies that improve the engineering process
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining a variety of applications, operating systems, and server hardware
- Assisting management of virtualization infrastructure (VMware & Hyper-V)
- Researching, resolving, and responding to questions received according to customer service focus
- Supporting all members of the R&D organization, including developers and engineering management, in the software development process

Requirements

- Demonstrated experience with installation, configuration, and administration of any combination of these servers and applications:
- Control Systems
- Issue Tracking Software
- Code Review Software
- Build Automation Tools
- Continuous Integration Tools
- Extensive experience in both Windows Server, Active Directory and Linux operating systems
- Significant experience with virtualization (VMware & Hyper-V)
- Hands-on experience with server hardware and datacentre operations
- Oral and written English communication skills with high level of customer service.
- Education in computer science, bachelors degree desirable
- Familiarity with database administration
- Exposure to Agile software development process and methodology
- Basic knowledge of networking
- 5-7 years of relevant experience
