Job description / Role
Job Purpose:
Effectively manage IT day to day operations. To provide quality solutions for business needs and provide timely support, adaptive to changing business needs and ensure high levels of Service Availability. Supports projects with planning and execution. Conduct evaluation for technologies and recommends.
Job Accountabilities:
IT Installation and Support:
- Second level support for helpdesk
- Day to Day Operations of helpdesk function delivering high quality of Service
- Conducting Preventive Maintenance
- Conduct new IT installations
- Ensures compliance to QMS, regulatory frameworks and Audit.
- Focused customer support
Success Factors:
- Effective Monitoring and Operational Processes
- High Systems availability, Optimal Performance and Capacity at all times. Adoption of best practices in IT Service Management Framework (ITIL, ISO20000)
- Performs proactive issue management and tracking
- Positive Customer Feedback
- Helpdesk stats and project closures
Supporting the following Domains:
- IT Hardware Systems (CPU, Monitor, Printers etc.,)
- IT Server Operating Systems (Windows 2000/2003/2008)
- Network (LAN and wireless setup) setup, Video conference systems, Telephony systems
- Support Enterprise applications, desktops, Operating systems and databases
- Maintain performance and high service availability for IT systems
- Support in project planning and execution
- Liaise with suppliers and providers for support
- Conduct technology evaluations and recommend
- Level 2 support for IT helpdesk function
Plays crucial role in maintaining high system uptime with efficient performance. Conducts new installation and preventive maintenance activity
Other Job Dimensions:
- User base of 500+, 300+ Desktops, Printers at 1000 service calls per month
- Enterprise applications, Unified communication
- Windows XP, 7, 2003, 2008,2012
- SQL database
- Network (WAN, Internet, VPN, LAN and wireless setup) setup, Video conference systems, Telephony systems
- Standard and Professional Cameras, Green Screen, Ride Cameras, RFID etc.
Requirements
Job Specific Experience:
- Overall 7years experience with 5years in a similar role
Job Specific Skills (Mandatory):
- Knowledge on hardware (Desktop, Servers, Printers etc.)and troubleshooting capability
- Knowledge in Electronics
- Knowledge of Various operating systems includes server and desktop.
- Knowledge of Network /Security Products/Technologies (IP, Routing, Wan Switches, Routers, Wireless, VPN, Unified Communications)
- Voice Fundamentals (PBX, VOIP)
Job Specific Skills (Added Advantage):
- Professional Camera handling knowledge
- VMware /Citrix/ERP Knowledge
Generic Skills (Mandatory):
- Must have UAE Driving License
- Possessing an extensive technical understanding of the function
- Effective Customer handling and communication skills
Competencies: CCNA MCSE
Salary Range for the role is between 7,000AED and 10,000AED per month
