The RoleThe RoleProvides technical expertise in full life cycle support of Windows servers, including: installation, build, hosting design and service deployment, on-site and remote administration, user support, performance monitoring and tuning, and capacity planning. Designs systems from requirements identified, and implement to facilitate domain resources (Active Directory) to the user entities in the Bank. Manages the servers for the desktop environment. Manages user and specific machine environments through group policies.Verifying hardware and software requirements from the specific product group for systems implementation. Manages the main MS Exchange Server in The Bank. Manages and trouble shoots daily issues. Main Tasks and Responsibilities Designs and supports the single systems domain and Exchange server. Performs supervisory functions and exercises financial authority at the level established by Senior Management for this position. Support and maintains the domain and MS Exchange services across the Bank. Implement changes from either user or business requirements and ensures that performance is not degraded by system changes Implements and designs domain policies including MS security policies. Works with Information Security and Network security to ensure systems are totally secure. Submits change management requests to senior management and alters and tunes systems accordingly. Identifies trouble shooting issues and formulates a solution on domains and servers. Identify tools and methodologies for trouble-shooting Work with help desks to resolve daily issues on incidents or remedies in appropriate manner based on the significance of the issue. Issues access permission on server folder and access to OWA. Raises server/system performance issues that may impact availability of systems. Conducts trouble shooting and problem solving on the following: o Between active directory and MS Exchange(Outlook mailboxes, OWA). o Active Directory 2003 / 2008 Administration and Troubleshooting o Exchange 2003 / 2007 Administration and Troubleshooting o Blackberry Configuration and Administration o Email and File Archival Solution o Microsoft Sharepoint Administration o SMTPG Administration Configuration and create package using System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM) Patch Management on Servers and Desktop Proxy Administration Microsoft Clustering on Windows 2003 / 2008 IIS Administration and Troubleshooting Virtualization - Expertise in VMWare, Hyper-V & XEN Servers. Microsoft Rights Management Administration and Troubleshooting of Citrix and Microsoft Terminal Services. Identifies the banks requirements based on current and future business and technology developments. Stays abreast of current developments in technology and contributes to future direction of the Domain design and server technology. Develop UAE Nationals as directed by senior management Undertake similar or related tasks or duties as directed by senior management |
RequirementsRequirementsMinimum Education Level Bachelor Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent Professional Qualification Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) ITIL Foundation course for IT Service Management Experience 5 - 6 years experience in Systems Administration of Windows systems in a large scale production environment. Ability to write Technical /Functional Specifications is essential. Proven program documentation expertise is required Good working experience in one or more programming languages and databases are required Working knowledge and experience of banking operations and related problems Ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks Written and verbal communication skills in English, Arabic an advantage Experience in incident management and resolution Experience in managing software releases and configuration management Working knowledge and experience of banking operations and related problems Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent person to person communication skills |
