The RoleThe RoleLeading IT services business are looking to locate a Systems Test Analyst to join their growing team. Responsibilities: Develop, execute and analyze test plans, scenarios and scripts in order to perform functional, load and performance tests of web based applications and portals. Defines and develop QA standards and procedures (e.g., code promotion, source/version control, naming standards, code review) Participate in systems/applications strategy and design sessions to ensure that stakeholder objectives are clearly communicated and represented as key test decisions, where applicable. Perform analyses and communicate test results with a high degree of accuracy Understand overall integrated solution to identify how changes to one component can impact the other Take a lead role in communicating and addressing systems/application test issues Ability to troubleshoot issues in the load and performance test environment. Achieving an understanding of the business requirements as it relates to systems testing. Work in a team environment to meet specific project timelines and quality targets. Work closely with technical and non technical peers and senior management to promote successful delivery of products and services Manage relationships with project team members, third party vendors/service partners, release teams and client areas as appropriate. Acts as a Subject Matter Expert in the identification, assessment and configuration of standard quality control/testing tools and related operational support procedures. Adapt and quickly test new/different applications, and complex technology frameworks. Ad hoc assignments within the Internal and External Systems Business unit, as required. |
RequirementsRequirementsUniversity degree in computer science, information systems or software engineering 5-8 years QA testing experience into Managed Services Provider environment, Strong skills in Microsoft 2003/2008 Server and Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010 (MCITP), Advanced knowledge/experience into Virtualization systems (VMware) Ability to troubleshoot issues in the load and performance test environments. Knowledge of automated, manual black box and white box testing. Technical knowledge of Databases (strong knowledge of SQL and common RDBMS) Technical knowledge of SharePoint (configuration/end user troubleshooting skills) Strong knowledge of testing strategy development, test planning, defect reporting and test case design. Strong project management and analytical/problem solving cells. Experienced in creating software test deliverables (e.g. test strategy, test plans etc.) Experienced in different QA/Software testing approaches (e.g. requirements based testing, risk based testing etc) Accreditation: Certified Software Tester (CSTE), Certified Manager of Software Testing (CMST) or equivalent preferred. Advanced knowledge/experience in using industry leading testing tools and suites for automated testing. |
