The RoleThe RoleThis position will be responsible for the full life cycle of systems developments, provision of application support, project management, application design /development, implementation of systems /modules for a unit, department, or the enterprise, supervision of systems analysts, systems developers etc. The successful candidate will participate in new implementation and projects. The position will be based in Duqm our project site. The individual should have at least 8 years of experience in the field of Project management, systems development, planning, analysis, development and implementation. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise all daily and weekly IT procedures, report directly to Sr. Manager IT Responsibility for all Applications in the enterprise and its related issues. Lead professional software development team with a focus on open-source technologies and Web standards. Oversee, facilitate and/or provide module development and Implementation /rollout planning. Supervise systems analyst, software developers and teams. Liaise with programmers and developers during development and implementation phases. Liaise with a blend of local and vendors IT resources. Interact with departments / users to implement the solution meeting their requirements Research, design and implement appropriate technology applications to support ODC staff in improving their productivity and performance. Manage the company website with regular updates /upgrades and upkeep of the site withy in-house support and development. Assist the Sr. Manager in developing and managing budget for technology, services, and personnel. Guide technical staff to support users, departments or enterprise with responsibilities such as systems administration, Help Desk, web services, application development and training. Performs other related duties as assigned. |
RequirementsRequirementsKEY REQUIREMENTS: He /She must have the following skills: Excellent working knowledge of application design, development, support, maintenance in ERP /Production environment. Complete understanding of Web development technology and techniques Performance tuning of application systems and resolving bottlenecks. Experience in more than one recognized ERP solutions such as Oracle suite, Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, Navision etc. and other Production /service Management Systems Expert knowledge of Oracle Database 10 /11g Essential Skills include: - ASP.NET, Oracle /SQL, One of more of Microsoft Visual Studio, Visual Basic, JavaScript or C. Has worked on windows /UNIX environment. Database tuning and administration. Individuals with exposure to shipping industry will be preferred. EDUCATION: A Bachelors /Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field. Microsoft /Oracle certificate. |
