MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

• Ensuring that talent acquisition practices and programs meet local/regional needs and support business goals and objectives.
• Providing talent acquisition support for internal and external recruitment activities across the MEA region.
• Sourcing, interviewing and assessment of internal and external candidates.

MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Recruit, network and source for a diverse pool of candidates, screen resumes, assess and interview candidates, and provide feedback and recommendations to hiring managers. Provide proactive and timely communications to hiring managers, candidates and HR Business Partners. Sell and market the organization externally to potential candidates.
• Co-develop and implement in partnership with the HR team, successful regional recruitment strategies to recruit both internal and external candidates and enhance Medtronic’s employment brand. This includes networking and building long term relationships with employment and search agencies, industrial associations, career sites, universities and other educational institutions, as well as enhancing managers’ capabilities in networking and recruiting strategies.
• Partner with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to assess long term and short term staffing goals and assist in implementation of innovative staffing strategies.
• Ensure that all aspects of the day-to-day staffing operation, such as developing and tracking all requisition and applicant activity, communicating progress, and applicant administration are handled effectively and in compliance with Medtronic policies and best in class standards.
• Utilize and manage new tools, technologies, measurements and capabilities/resources of the organization to manage recruitment costs, build staffing effectiveness and drive results.
• Special emphasis to target new employees in the MEA markets by enhancing Medtronic’s employment brand and networking with relevant institutions to attract candidates.
• Other special recruitment improvement projects and duties as assigned.
• Maintain and update handbooks and policies.
• Ensure and execute high quality TA administration.

Requirements

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent education and experience.

JOB EXPERIENCE

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a talent acquisition role
• Experience in multinational company preferable
• Experience in how to work and communicate in international environments

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

• Fluent in English: Arabic a plus
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and delivering proactive, creative, and cost-effective recruiting solutions.
• Good judgment, listening and interviews skills and ability to translate job requirements in competencies and required behavior.
• Strong communication, persuasion and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong service orientation with business driven mindset, sense of urgency and continual drive for process improvement.
• Team spirit and ability to work with others.
• Solid analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong technology skills: Word Processing, PowerPoint, Excel, databases.
