Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Pearson Teacher Trainers are responsible for providing effective interactive training sessions to groups of teachers and school leaders. Trainers must possess the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to motivate participants, deliver dynamic and content-rich learning experiences and instruction, and provide ongoing assessment and effective feedback to participants.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- attend Pearson trainer training courses as required (these may be out of KSA)
- deliver a range of teacher training courses in general methodology, subject specific teaching strategies and leadership to groups of school teachers and leaders at a range of venues within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
- plan and prepare accordingly for course delivery as described above
- provide input to course content reviews and provide feedback on course delivery
- provide continuous feedback on student progress through a variety of assessment tools, including tests, projects, assignments and other evaluation instruments
- assess course participants according to the course requirements which may be quizzes, tests, projects etc
- provide feedback on participant progress during the course to ensure all participants are fully engaged
- write and compile reports on course delivery
ensure all course registers are maintained in hard copy or electronic format
- keep updated professionally so that the high standards of the courses delivered are always maintained
- apply the use of technology in course delivery as required
- collect feedback from participants on the course content and delivery in either hard copy of electronically
- contribute to administrative tasks such as course venue arrangements
- ensure course venues meet the required standard (as stated in the course delivery handbook)
- travel within KSA to deliver courses as and when required
- other duties as assigned by the Project Manager

Requirements

Academic qualifications:

- a minimum of a degree in a field related to education or training, with advanced degree preferred

Skills and Experience:

- successful experience as trainers of adults in the education field gained in KSA/Middle East
- a demonstrated ability to meet the training objectives of a program while also adjusting training to meet the ongoing needs of learners
- a demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the principles of active teaching and learning with at least 2 years’ teaching experience in a relevant discipline
- excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated competency to interact with people at all levels of the organization
- high degree of computer literacy and demonstrated ability to integrate technology into the learning environment and teaching methodology
- the ability to function as a team player within a multi-cultural work environment

Language(s);

- Fluency in written and spoken both English and Arabic is essential
