Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- The entire Accounts Payable function, policies and procedures
- Supervise the payable section identifying issues relating to efficiencies and performance standards in the section and taking corrective measures wherever shortcomings are observed
- Payable transactions on a routine basis via accounting software and reports any deviations
- Coordinate with Financial Services for month/year end accounts closing activities such as bank reconciliation, Fixed Assets additions, depreciations, accruals, account balance confirmation, stock reconciliations, financial statement schedules, Reports preparation etc.
- Performs stock reconciliation on a routine basis.
- Validation and accounting vendor invoices, JVs & other authorized payments
- Review and inputs on complex issues to accounting treatment of financial transactions
- Financial accounting activities are scheduled in line with agreed dates
- Regular review of all accounts and take appropriate and timely action on all outstanding matters
- Invoice process, bank reconciliation, fixed assets, depreciations, accruals, account balance confirmation, stock reconciliations etc

Requirements

Education:
- University degree in Accounting

Functional Knowledge:
- 3 yrs. related work experience is required
- Experience in refinery/petrochemical operations is an advantage
- Experience within accounting is required
- Knowledge of MS Office applications required, knowledge of different ERP is an advantage

Leadership and Interpersonal:
- Proven effectiveness in accounts payable execution, delivering results, promotion of team work required
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong customer orientation

Language:
- English (fluent) required
