Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The role is for a Team Leader to work in our Logistics & Warehouse Operations Team.

You must have previous experience working in a similar environment

You will be responsible to lead group of Operators and Warehouse Assistants to ensure operations and any other tasks required to be undertaken during the shift is accomplished as per daily schedules and as per the operations Standard Operating Procedures. In doing so, ensuring that performance and utilization is optimized.

Ensure that the operations Team carry out all activities in a manner consistent with the Port & Customs, JAFZA Health, Safety, EHS and other local government requirements and policies.

To ensure that all inbound and outbound orders are processed and available to the client as per the agreed timelines and SOP of the individual client.

Train and Develop Operators and Warehouse Assistants to deliver excellent performance at all times.

Feedback quality and performance issues to Shift Supervisor for action

Support the Operations Shift Supervisor and replace on off-days annual vacation

General Responsibilities:

-Ensure all daily shift performance , KPI , Service standard reporting is done
-Supervise and improve daily warehousing operations (receiving, put away, inventory, picking, packing, delivery) in line with agreed operational plans and targets
-Ensure full compliance with EHS (Environment Health & Safety), Port & Customs and other local authority rules and regulations. Responsible for Health & Safety within the operations when on duty.
-To contribute to the efforts of the management team by continuously reviewing processes for possible improvements and costs savings and those financial repercussions of all operations effort are well understood.
-To resolve operational problems. Report all incidents / accidents immediately.
-Continuously look at opportunities for increasing productivity and process management through use of People, Processes and Technology.
-Ensure MHE are operated by Authorized staff and are maintained in good working condition and available at all times.
-Ensure good house keeping at all times.
-Ensure Expired / Unfit stock is segregated in a separate area and initiate the destruction process in line with company policy and the local authority’s requirements.
-Ensure all Warehouse Assets & Consumables including Pallets, Stretch Films, and Packing Materials are properly received and accounted for.
-To inform Shift Supervisors on operators and assistants individual performance issues

Receiving

-Ensure and Check that the MEH operators & Warehouse Assistants receive and put away all inbound stocks with their attributes e.g. -Dimensions, UOM, Weight, Batch, Production, Expiry, Lot and other important parameters. Report all Unadvised Goods Receipts / Damaged Stock immediately.
-Ensure and Check that all Physical Vs System stock reconciles at all times.
-Ensure all paperwork related to Ports & Customs, Inbound & outbound shipments including POD are available at all times.
-Capture & Measure Receiving & Put away rates and accuracy of individuals, and produce regular KPI's on Receiving & Put away performance.
-To use examples of the errors noticed during Receiving & Put away to drive process improvements and operators’ performance improvement.
-Ensure and Check that the daily Keg collections are as per the plan and are maintained accurately in the system.

Picking, Bin Accuracy and Dispatch

-Ensure and Check that the MHE operators and Warehouse assistants pick and deliver all outbound stocks in a way that the Right Product in Right Qty is delivered to the Right Customer in Right Time.
-Ensure and Check the timely and accurate pick, pack and dispatch of all orders received from the Customers Service / Clients.
-Communicate with Transporter / Freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery of all outbound stocks.
-Ensure and Check that all outbound stock is accurately & properly picked, packed, loaded and dispatched.
-Ensure and Check that all relevant documents relating to inbound and outbound stocks including POD’s are properly filed and available at all times.
Capture & Measure picking & loading rates and accuracy of individuals, and produce regular KPI's on pick performance.
-To use examples of the errors noticed during Pick & Load to drive process improvements and operators’ performance improvement.
-Ensure and Check that all Customs Duty Refund Paperwork and claims are filed within the stipulated time

Requirements

Technical & Academics:

-Bachelor's Degree in Commerce / Business / Logistics & Supply Chain.
-Sound knowledge of WMS including use of RF technology.
-Computer literate, able to complete reports and spreadsheets using MS office suite.
-Good knowledge of latest industry standards relating to stock control methods.
-Previous experience of FMCG environments and products essential.
-Sound knowledge of expiry controls.
Min 2 yrs Experience of managing small teams of diverse nationalities and abilities.
-Experience of modern warehouse layouts, including racking configuration and pick face.
