Job description / Role
Technical Support Analyst resource performs multiple functions in Application Support team as part of production support and as technical resource for various ongoing implementations for Banking Channels like Internet Banking ,Mobile Banking ATM Switch(HPS). This includes analysis, troubleshooting, design, testing, deployment, documentation and support activities.
Primary Function:
Analyses, design, test, document, deploy and support software solutions using Java platform, SQL Server 2005/2008, Oracle Databases running on WebSphere, Tomcat and Jboss web application servers.
Job Duties:
- Provide required technical support for bank users and customer facing applications.
- Analyze the requirements and provide solutions.
- Investigate and resolve complex user problems channeled via the Help desk or equivalent in order to minimize disruption to production systems and other environments.
- Plan and manage systems testing to ensure that fixes and solutions work correctly and meet the specification.
- Ensure the developments/configuration changes technically interface successfully with existing systems using the optimum methods
- Coordinate with different applications vendors to troubleshoot and analyze technical issues.
- Work with Users and Support teams to understand the issues.
- Deploy, promote and test the solutions/ Application patches.
- Work with QA team to fix defects and findings.
- Testing and implementation of technical solutions.
- Have a discussion with support and users to clarify issues or problems.
- Document changes to systems and produce technical documentation for solutions and fixes.
- Provide support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues and coordinating with different vendor to resolve complex technical issues (Core banking, MW and channel vendors).
- Writing and maintaining operational, configuration, installation procedures.
- Provide support as per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
- Verifying integrity and availability of all server resources and different system components, reviewing system and application logs.
Requirements
Technical Skills: SQL Server 2005, SQL Server 2008, Oracle 11R2,Linux, Windows server 2003/2008, WebSphere Message Broker, WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere MQ, Tomcat, Jboss.
Experience (experience required for the job): 4 to 6 years of experience in Banking Channels support, analyses, troubleshooting.
