Job description / Role
- Undertake studies and concept design for water supply and waste water treatment facilities
- Assist in the preparation of RFPs and other procurement documentation for design, design & build and other forms of contracting for water supply and waste water treatment facilities
- Review technical design proposals from bidders and other parties
- Approve technical submittals from contractors
- Advise on acceptance of construction work
- Attend and validate the testing and commissioning of plant and equipment
- Review the operational and performance of water supply installations and waste water treatment facilities
- Review the engineering condition of water and waste water supply/treatment and handling installations
- Conduct studies on how to improvement the quality of treated water
- Provide advice on the use of treated water in industrial processes
Requirements
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering; preferably in Civil Engineering
- Western candidate would be preferred
- Be a Charter level of membership of a recognised professional institution
- Have a minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in the engineering design, construction field and operation of water supply and waste water treatment plant
- Have proven project experience in leading the design of waste water treatment schemes
