Employment: Full Time

Job Objective:
Support business application systems running under Microsoft Technologies and develop solutions. Support users on system functionality, troubleshoot and coordinate with vendors for system support, with an aim to enhance business process, productivity, efficiency and decision making capabilities

Key Responsibilities:
- Technical owner for all development activities related to Microsoft Dynamics AX, web applications using .Net, applications using SQL enterprise server and SharePoint intranet web portal
- Plan, manage and direct the execution and support of projects from initiation to closing. This includes, but is not limited to defining timelines, developing code, writing technical and functional specifications, writing user manuals and help files, assisting in procurement of vendors / equipment / software and implementation
- Coordinate and streamline all project phases from collecting requirements, gap analysis, design, set-up to prototyping, testing and training
- Define project scope, objectives and deliverables and success criteria that align with business goals ensuring project stakeholders and management expectations are met
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of relevant systems, processes and practices taking in account industry best practice, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
- Oversee the maintenance of applications during their lifecycle by coordinating with the relevant team members and vendors.
- Analyze issues raised by users to identify integration problems and take corrective actions.
- Research software and business solutions prevalent and introduced in the market and make recommendations to the Business Applications Manager.
- Conduct feasibility studies on new solutions/software and analyze the technical and functional aspects thereof and provide technical recommendations to the Business Applications Manager.
- Provide support to all users and ensure changes (in liaising with vendors/consultants/parent company) are made according to user requirements and upper management
- Investigate, log into system and solve all issues that come in through the helpdesk related to ERP and related software.
- Train and demonstrate software to stakeholders and users and act as a technical support thereof.
- Develop and deliver ad-hoc reports, documentation and presentations to management as requested to monitor, control and troubleshoot problem areas.
- Analyze results and make recommendations to management.
- Plan and manage user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure seamless live operation and integration of custom developments and systems.
- Provide training and training documents related to systems and related software.
- Participate in general IT support (i.e. development of policies and procedures, budget input, monthly reports and technical support) to employees when required and coordinate with rest of IT team to ensure timely delivery of IT support.

Requirements

Qualification:
- Degree in computer systems or related field
- Post-graduate degree is an added advantage
- Professional certification from relevant institutions is an added advantage.

Experience:
- At least 7 years of relevant experience.
- At least 2 full projects done using Microsoft AX for Business Applications-Automation and Microsoft Automation tools
- At least 2 projects done using Microsoft Technology / tools for Enterprise application integration
- Experience with Microsoft implementation methodologies, support and integration
- Previous experience in carrying support role for Microsoft Enterprise Applications based products
- Previous experience in building reports, workflows and alerts using Microsoft technology tools under Microsoft Enterprise Applications
- Previous experience in building custom applications, developing reports, workflows and alerts using Microsoft technology tools under the custom applications

About the Company

Qatar District Cooling Company, known as Qatar Cool, is a private sector joint venture company owned 51% by United Development Company (UDC), 44% by National District Cooling Company (Tabreed) and 5% by other private Qatari investors. Qatar Cool’s aim is to provide efficient district cooling solutions and services for commercial and residential projects in Qatar. Their district cooling operations in the West Bay area of Doha – consisting of two plants covering 10 square kilometres – is currently supplying over 67,000 refrigerating tons of cooling, serving more than 45 towers used for residential, commercial and recreational purposes. The capacity of both plants is enough to supply about two million square meters of air conditioned area. Qatar Cool is also commissioned to provide district cooling for the Pearl Qatar. District Cooling is an important feature in the Pearl's advanced infrastructure. It will be available through the island with a requirement of 130,000 tons of refrigeration when fully occupied. To supply this demand, construction of Qatar Cool district cooling on the island has already begun and will be operational in phases.
