Employment: Full Time

This role is in support of the BP Oman ICV Manager to deliver the technical ICV opportunities assigned to BP and agreed with the government of Oman.

The job holder will be responsible for all technical planning and strategy definition efforts for the ICV programme, which would cover the delivery of technical ICV opportunities agreed in the ICV strategy of Wave 1 and all subsequent waves.

This will include define the technical scopes, evaluate and drive the submission and support the investors technically to achieve the projects or to close the opportunities if the project not commercially attractive.

The role will interface widely with different technical teams from GWO, GPO, GOO, PSCM, Upstream Engineering Centre, HR and leadership, as well as key external stakeholders e.g. government, other Operators, contractors and Investors.

The Technical ICV Lead is accountable for all technical delivery of the BP ICV strategy. Main duties will include:

* Supports the launch of the allocated opportunities to BP from the technical side.
* Facilitates the technical details of BP opportunities strategy and action plan development for the delivery of opportunities
* Monitors and incorporates of ICV principles in delivery of opportunities
* Facilitates technical coordination and interaction between operators working groups in delivering the strategy and the action plan
* Facilitates alignment across involved operators on technical aspects like: specs., timeframe,
* Leads and drives the technical delivery of initiatives and opportunities allocated to BP.
* Follows-up on the progress of opportunity implementation with lead operators to be consolidated by PMO manager
* Deliver the first wave opportunities assigned to BP as Leader or supporter e.g Low and Medium Proppant development (Lead), Rig manufacturing (Support)
* Conduct special projects as requested
* Develop ideas for ICV technical projects where applicable

Requirements

* Minimum of BSc in Engineering or Science
* Min of 10+ years of technical experience in Oil and Gas.
* Extensive track record working in technical function across different areas project, wells.
* Fluency in English - both spoken and written.
* Applicants will have strong writing, editing and content management system skills.
* Applicants should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* The successful candidate will be flexible, willing to handle a wide variety of responsibilities and take the initiative to manage tasks independently.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Able to work in a pro-active manner, demonstrating a sense of urgency and energy to achieve results.
* Be a team player with the ability to effectively communicate and network with individuals both within BP and externally (at all organizational levels).
* The ability to utilize appropriate systems for effective processing of information.
* Must be able to demonstrate a personal concern for the safety and well-being of others.
