Technical Manager - Cement / Concrete - West Africa

Supporting some of the largest Construction Materials firms around the world in their operations we are always in search of new talent with specific skillsets.

One of the leading Building Materials companies operating throughout Africa is currently looking for an experienced Technical Manager to oversee the quality procedures of their Ready Mix Concrete production for their operations in West Africa.

The ideal Technical Manager will have previous experience of creating effective mix designs as well raw material selection; experience in Africa is preferred but is not essential.

The successful Technical Manager will be responsible for the following:
- Create an optimal mix design for the Ready Mix Concrete production while also keeping costs controlled.
- Implement the company QHSE policy training local nationals how to work in a safe manner.
- Work closely with the sales team to follow up with customers ensuring that they are satisfied with the quality of Concrete purchased.
- Implement long term strategy for develop the Ready Mix Concrete division in order to secure project work in the future.

Requirements

- A Degree or industry qualification within the building materials sector is a must.
- Previous experience of creating mix designs is essential.
- At least 5 10 years of experience in the Ready Mix Concrete sector, experience with Cement or aggregates will also be looked on favourably.
- Prior experience in West Africa is advantageous.
