Technical Manager - Citrus Processing Operations - Ethiopia

We are representing a leading international Agricultural company with large citrus and tropical fruit operations in Ethiopia.

They are a rapidly growing company with 1500 ha of citrus and tropical fruit planted; they also have a processing and distribution plant on site.

The successful candidate will be responsible the equipment and technical aspects of processing plant.

The primary responsibilities will include:
• Ensure the equipment is operational
• Evaluation of plant performance
• Evaluating problems and finding effective solutions.
• Quality improvement and implementation of new plant
• Cost reduction in utilities consumption and improvement in process yield

Requirements

Essential requirements:
• Day to day trouble shooting, repair and installation of industrial electromechanical & control systems for utility & production equipment.
• At least 5 years’ experience of working in Juice Processing or similar.
• Strong experience working in mechanical systems
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Ability to diagnose problems and deliver on time solutions
• Fluent in English
• Knowledge of Africa is a major advantage
• Educated to BSc level in Chemical Engineering or similar as a minimum
