Job description / Role
Reporting in to the Head of the Technical Centre, and functionally to the Business Team Manager in Europe, the Technical Manager is responsible for the technical service to customers and support the Sales Manager in developing the Market. Specific responsibilities include:
* Support the ongoing business of the associated market segments and regions
* Initiation and processing of new customer projects
* Close Co-operation with Sales & Marketing
* Support customers in all technical aspects
* Ensure compliance with quality, safety and environmental conditions
* Technical handling of complaints
* Co-operation with equipment suppliers to customers.
Requirements
Candidates should hold a minimum of a Bachelors degree in scientific subject, preferable Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Material Sciences. You must have a strong background in the field of elastomers and silicones, as well as HTV / LSR rubber and basic knowledge of processing technologies for silicone elastomer
Candidates should also possess excellent computer skills and ideally have a command of the Arabic language - excellent English communication skills are essential. Additionally you must have a willingness to travel outside the UAE when the position demands it and have experience of working commercially / negotiating deals alongside the Sales & Marketing teams on a regular basis.
