Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

n behalf of our client, a well established Golf company in Dubai, we are looking to recruit an experienced Technical Manager. Reporting to Agronomy Manager, you will oversee the maintenance of all technical related equipment within the Agronomy Department.

Supervision of inspections, diagnoses and repairs of mechanical defects/failures in various equipment.
Instructs and trains mechanics on a frequent and on-going basis.
Instructs and trains golf course maintenance staff regarding preventative maintenance and the proper cleaning and safe operation of equipment.
Keeps a complete set of records for equipment and parts inventory purchases, equipment conditions, cost of repairs and preventative maintenance.
Schedules servicing of all equipment and orders necessary parts accordingly.
Oversees the technical parts stores and ensures that the stores are stocked with necessary items.
Develop spare parts projections for individual machinery models.
Review and make recommendations on specifications and accessories for all machinery capital purchases.
Develops conceptual designs for each workshop within the golf course development.
Establish a comprehensive list of mechanical tools and equipment required for each individual workshop.
Establish and implement a detailed Fire and Safety plan for Agronomy Centre and other related workshops.
Ensure that the Agronomy Centre is constructed and fitted out in line with the consultants specifications and Operational requirements.

Requirements

Qualifications and skills:

Mechanical Engineering degree
Minimum of 3 years experience in City & Guilds or equivalent
Manufacturer product technical training certificates (engines, hydraulics, electrics, onboard computers)
Reel/Bedknife Grinding Training
Health/Safety procedure training certificates (EU or equivalent)
Welding certificate will be an advantage
Working proficiency in MS Word and Excel
Heavy Equipment/Plant License (advantage)
