Technical Manager (Power Projects)

Overview

My client are a leading rental power and utilities company offering rental equipment services throughout the MENA region

The Role

•This is a senior technical role supporting the Power projects.

•Responsible for putting tenders and technical specification for power projects.

•Required to get involved in the installation, execution and trouble shooting of Power Projects in all geographic areas where we chose to operate.

•Responsible for the timely shipment of assets.

•Lead a team of design engineers, CAD designers, about 6-8 people

•Attend client meetings with the sales team

•Producing technical specifications for the project

•Once the project has been won, oversee the project and manage the process from A-Z

•Review and approve technical drawings

•Prepare the site layout, single line diagrams

•Review all the electrical connections

•Responsible for gaining knowledge of electrical codes in the countries that they work in and ensure they are compliant with country standards

Requirements

•Engineering Degree

•Work experience Approx 10 - 15yrs

•Have worked within the Power/Energy sector

•Technically competent, dealing with switch gears/Transformers – High Voltage

•Should have an understanding of medium/ high voltage distribution networks

•Switching procedures, fault, frequencies

•High voltage background with valid certification.
