Employment: Full Time

A world renowned Multi-National-Company is looking for a Technical Manager (Mechanical) to join them in their Thailand office.

The successful applicant will be responsibele for the overall mechanical design of the power plant. Majority of our client's projects are in the power generation area which includes; CCGT Power Plants, fossil fuel fired and biomass fuel fired power plants.

Your Responsibities includes:
* maintaining the quality of the mechanical design of the engineering team;
* review vendor documents;
* work closely with project team from start to finish of the project; from from design to performance testing.;
* work closely with engineers of other departments and providing interface design ideas;
* prepare equipment arrangements and plant lay-outs;
* developing the technical scope, design criteria, performing engineering calculations;
* review of designs;
* identifying and providing mechanical design deliverables for fabrication, construction and commissioning;
* preparing equipment specifications, tender assessment and selection of equipments;
* quality and technical checks of the mechanical design of an engineering team
* involve in technical meetings with other departments including client and suppliers;
* lead a project team of mechanical engineers to ensure project is completed on schedule;
* Ensure engineering team is working according to budget;

Requirements

* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
* At least 10 years' experience in mechanical engineering;
* Good leadership qualities to guide and manage an engineering team;
* Adequate knowledge of power plant equipment;
* Experience from developing engineering quality assurance procedures such as design reviews, interdisciplinary checking, design change management;
* Good computer skills with experience in relevant engineering tools;
* Good command of English and able to work in a multinational project team;
* Able to work with heavy work load and under pressure with good working attitude;
* Well versed with International Standards / Codes.
