Job description / Role
Our client a leading European Chemical company is looking to recruit a Technical Manager for their Silicones Elastomers product range, with focus on Elastomers Insulators and insulators Coating for the energy sector.
• The role of TM is to provide technical assistance to customers and support Sales Manager in developing the market. He reports disciplinary to the Head of Technical centre in Dubai and functionally to the Business Team Manager in Europe.
• Support the ongoing business of the associated market segments and regions
• Initiation and processing of new customer projects
• Close cooperation with Marketing and Sales
• Support customers in all technical aspects
• And ensuring compliance with quality, safety and environmental conditions
• Technical handling of complaints
• Cooperation with equipment suppliers to customers
Requirements
• University degree to / for Chemist /-in, possibly graduate Chemical engineer
• Good knowledge in the field of elastomers and silicones, as well as in HTV / LSR rubber
• Basic knowledge of processing technologies for silicone elastomer
• Good computer and native Arabic and fluent English skills, other foreign languages can be beneficial
• High cross-cultural competency
• Willingness to travel
• Basic knowledge of business / commercial interests
• Professional experience in the marketing sector and experience in dealing with customers desirable
• Negotiation skills, assertiveness, communication skills, Capacity, reliability, flexibility and willingness to work in teams
• Strong sales pitch
