Job description / Role
The client is a multinational food packaging and processing company offering packaging solutions, filling machines and processing solutions for dairy, beverages, cheese, ice-cream and prepared food, including distribution tools like accumulators, cap applicators, conveyors, crate packers, film wrappers, line controllers and straw applicators.
Reporting to the Technical Sales & Service Manager, the Technical Service Manager's main role is to manage & plan service activities & resources on our customer's equipment & projects at various sites within our Arabia Area covering Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Yemen, Oman, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria and Palestine.
Staff Reporting to the Position:
• Service engineering team
Specific Accountabilities:
• Manage service planning & deployment of service team
• Responsible for annual service budget & margin
• Plan capability & competence development of service team
• Ensure compliance with the company & customer HSE policies and procedures
Key Performance Indicators:
• Annual service budget & margin
• Customer relationship satisfaction survey result
• Service to invoice days
• Additional objectives will be set each year as part of the Objective setting process - this is done in consultation with employee and manager
Requirements
Qualifications/ Required Education & Qualifications:
• Electrical and / or mechanical engineering graduate qualification
• Previous experience in a similar role & industry
Required Knowledge & Skills:
• Technical resource management
• Customer service skills
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills
• Financial understanding of profit and loss statements
• Proficient in English (spoken & written)
Required Experience:
• 3 - 8 years of prior work experience as service manager will be highly regarded
• Electrical, mechanical and mechatronic troubleshooting experience
Required Behaviour and Attitudes:
• Superior communication skills
• Ability to perform under pressure
• Able to work autonomously and with little or no supervision
• Customer orientated
• Good verbal & technical report writing skills
• Be able to travel to customer sites at short notice
