The RoleThe RoleA leading international property and Asset Management organisation is looking for a highly experienced Technical Director. Based in Either Shanghai or Singapore you will be responsible for the following: Best Practice Operations Develop a regional standard for industrial operations incorporating the company and local statutory requirements. Ensure Planned Preventive Maintenance programs are appropriate for facilities Vetting of technical service contracts Review the maintenance/service practices of M&E Contractors to deliver quality work practices in line with the manufacturer recommendations. Support the implementation and management of Risk and Safety work practices to reduce any interruption to operations Develop a program of sample audits and inspections for all properties on energy conservation, maintenance practices, utility management and risk management procedures. Work with account managers to ensure all audit/inspection deficiencies have an appropriate action plan in place and are followed through. Provide advice on how to address defficiencies where necessary. Develop and provide training to on-site teams on industrial best practices. Support service delivery teams on critical equipment maintenance and upkeep. Identify developments in international best practice and provide advice on localised implementation. Health and Safety Ensure compliance with statutory regulations on fire, health and safety standards Ensure all safety procedures, including Crisis Management/ Business Continuity and Emergency Procedures are maintained at all times. Ensure that service delivery teams and on-site contractors undergo a Health and Safety Induction prior to deployment Others Develop and implement innovative programs and processes that reduce utility costs, increase productivity and savings Initiate strategies to achieve measurable improvements in energy consumption Assist Solutions Development with new clients pursuits work |
RequirementsRequirements Tertiary qualifications an industrial discipline required. 10 years of experience in either electrical /mechanical engineering in manufacturing environment. Excellent people skills and ability to interact with a wide range of client staff and demands Must have critical environment experience Knowledge of Occupational Safety requirements Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement initiatives highly desirable Demonstrated experience with client reporting and preparation of reports required. Strong Technical Experience Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Superior analytical skills Consummate people management skills with cultural sensitivity Ability to delegate |
