The RoleThe RoleKEO International Consultants is a well established, world ranked and leading Planning, Architectural, Engineering, and Project and Construction Management Firm with offices in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Bahrain, Dubai, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia. KEO is seeking to fill a management position in its Strategy, Planning and Urban Development Division (SPU) Division. The Technical Services Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, and management of the Technical Building Services Department in the SPU Division. The Department includes a team of senior architects, structural, mechanical and electrical engineers. The responsibility of the department is to conduct technical peer review services of external consultants design documents, compliance reviews to codes, to municipal permitting requirements and established development guidelines. The department also is responsible for creating design guidelines for major project developments. . Position will require a qualified candidate who can demonstrate the following: • Ability to control day-to-day management of a busy technical department. • Ensuring that adequate staffing resources, systems and procedures are in place for efficient and quality delivery of all technical services produced and delivered by the department. • Responsible for Career Development and managing on-going professional training programs for the Technical Services Department staff. • Strong communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Able to work under tight deadlines and have leadership qualities that can successfully manage different stakeholder groups’ needs. Have excellent reporting and presentation skills. • Ability to recruit, manage and retain a diverse and senior professional technical team. Able to manage high performing technical multi-disciplinary teams and provide clear direction and leadership. • Have high level working knowledge of international building codes and standards, particularly ICC. • Experience in the use of Web-Based Document Control Applications • Fully conversant in AutoCAD. Exposure to BIM applications a plus. |
RequirementsRequirementsQualifications: Professional Degree in Architecture or Structural Engineering with preference for higher Master’s Degree. Must be either RIBA, AIA or PE qualified. Must have a minimum of 20 years overall post-graduate experience, including 10 years in senior management role in a Design Office setting, having direct responsibility for Technical Management of project documentation for residential and office towers.
