Technical Services Manager

Job description / Role

A leading Manufacturing company based in Muscat is looking to hire an experienced Technical Services Manager to ensure high quality standard.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer; you will be responsible to direct the technical service functions through strategic planning and management and provide leadership in the design, development and implementation of new and improved products in both existing and developing markets, To be a member of relevant Associations and institutions, participate, present technical papers, to represent the organization and to oversee the functions of Quality Assurance, Research and Development initiatives. The primary objective of the role is to ensure technical quality and product performance.

Requirements

• 10-15 years experience in the design of cables.
• Specialist knowledge in the manufacturing process, product performance criteria, market requirements and internationally recognized standards and trends
• Leadership capacity on technical design issues.
• Competent in the use and understanding of Computer design calculation programs
• A sound financial ability will be of paramount importance in an ever increasingly competitive market
• Broad functional expertise in areas of strategic planning, business and product development, research and development and quality assurance.
• Engineering degree preferably Mechanical or Industrial and MBA
